The Dawn of Firefox 5

Firefox 5 is the first beta version of the next era of Mozilla web browsers.

Hardly a week after Mozilla released its final version of Firefox 4, we've already got a beta version of what's in store for the popular web browser. Codenamed Aurora, Mozilla's first beta version of its fifth browser is still in its early developmental stages. As a result it's reasonable to expect a bit of instability.

Right now, there's actually very little different or new in Aurora from version 4. This applies for both functionality and appearance, with the exception of a nice, new graphic of a globe with a few rays of sun peeking out from behind. In terms of speed though, it's right on up there with Firefox 4.

Aurora has already promised some new features in later beta releases though. These include an improvement in appearance, as well as new sharing features. There's also talk that Firefox 5 will integrate with social networks likeFacebook and Twitter, and even have a built-in PDF reader.
